    Day One is Maine�??s leading agency in the fight against adolescent substance abuse. Our mission is to dramatically reduce substance abuse among Maine youth to help them live productive, healthy and rewarding lives. Maine suffers from one of the highest rates of adolescent substance abuse nationwide. Day One has led the fight against this for over 35 years.

    Day One works with extremely high risk youth at a homeless teen center, youth from economically and educationally privileged families in suburbs, urban youth and those who are isolated in rural areas across the state. We provide prevention programs in schools, programs to support parents, and treatment and intervention programs for youth and families.
